KEDİ VE KÖPEKLERDE CAPUT VE COLLUM FEMORİS KIRIKLARININ İNTERNAL FİKSASYONLA SAĞALTIMLARI ÜZERİNE KLİNİK ÇALIŞMALAR
Abstract
Özet
Caput ya da collum femoris kırığı saptanan 18 köpek (10 caput, 9 collum femoris kırığı) ve 8 kedide (4 collum, 4 caput femoris kınğı) olmak üzere toplam 26 hayvana ait 27 proksimal femur kırığına Kirschner telleri kullanılarak osteosentez yapılmış ve bunların sonuçlan değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan osteosentezler sonrası 19 olguya ait 20 kırığın klinik olarak tam iyileştiği, 5 olguda ise fiksasyonun başarısız olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu 5 olguya eksizyon artroplastisi uygulanmıştır.

CLINICAL STUDIES ON THE SURGICAL TREATMENT OF FEMORAL HEAD AND NECK FRACTURES USING INTERNAL FIXATION IN CATS AND DOGS
Summary
Osteosynthesis using K-wires was applied to 27 proximal femur fractures in a total of 26 animals with either femora! head or neck fractures, of which 18 were dogs (10 femoral head arid 9 femoral neck fractures) and 8 were cats (4 femoral neck and 4 femoral head fractures). Results of the operations were evaluated. Full recovery was observed in 20 fractures belonging to 19 cases. In 5 cases, however, fixation was unsuccessful and excision arthroplasty was carried out.
