THE TRANSFER FUNCTION OF THE TWO ELECTROMAGNETIC
'SEISMOMETER. SEISMOGRAPH WHICH CAN RECORD TOTAL
«P»; «S» OR THE HORIZONTAL COMPONENT OF THE
GROUND. MOTION PREUOMINENTLY
The conventional N-S, E-W and Z- conponent seismometers (or, any tJ1vo perpendicularly placed electromagnetic seismometers) rwith equal and non -
equal parameters, are connected in paraJel to the terminals of one recording galvanometer with a purpose of direct r ecording the horizontal (or, any plane) conponent of the ground motion and or, total «P» or «S» (SH+ SV) 'With the e'Xception of SV's horizontal component. In this study, besides the first theoretical developments for the connection, the transfer function are also derived for quantification
of the system's output. The «polarization» and «Combination» which the 2S - Seismograph contribute immatiately after the detection provides technically safer and easier seismic data
than that of obtainable from digital records by combination. Another insteresting result is that the records include basically one of the seismic energy «P» or «S» due to patern of detection, tha.t is, it quaterly emphesizes, or on the contrary, diminishes the component of the «P» and «S» arrivals depend on their direction of particle motion. Two sismometer seismograph as an instrument, it provide «standardization» in the records by separating the energies and «smoothing» in the response curves, which alltogether they cause some improvement in the «dynamic range».
