YATAY SONSUZ SiLiNDiR VE BASAMAK FAYLARIN MANYETiK ANOMALiLERiNiN YORUMU

Abstract

In this work, an interpretation method have been presented about horizontal and vertical derivatives of the magnetic anomaly of infinite horizontal cylinders and step faults. Although in the mbdel works the curves of the derivatives have been obtained directly from the mathematical formula, in the field applications the horizontal derivatives have to obtained from the values of the field data and the vertical derivatives have to obtained by application of Hilbert transformation to those of the horizontal derivatives. The parameters of cylinder and fault have been found using the characteristic points on the amplitude and phase curves which have been produced by the derivative curves. These characteristic points are the distans between the maximum point and the half maximum point of the amplitude curves and the value of the phase curve just on the mass. By comparing the values of the process developed in this work, to either
infinite horizontal cylinder or the step fault values of the model works, have been got in·.a very good comformity with each other.
