The Role of Innovation in the Process of Turning Agriculture into a Global Power System

Abstract

In recent
years, with the globalization of the agricultural sector, the sector has become
important and strategic sector again, especially due to the effects of poverty
reduction in developing countries, food security, industrial input, foreign
exchange, economic growth. Therefore in this study Turkey’s agricultural
indicators 
were examined together with
advanced industrial countries. It has been seen that developed industrial
countries have not taken agriculture in to the background, but
  the agricultural industry has been in a
global position with scientific research and development studies, innovations
at level of
  production, processing,
marketing, system and organizational. Turkey’s not to behind these developments
and issues that have to be given importance in the assesment of agricultural
potential is evaluated.

Tarımın Küresel Güç Sistemine Dönüşme Sürecinde İnovasyonun Rolü

Abstract

Son yıllarda tarım
sektörü küreselleşmeyle birlikte özellikle gelişmekte olan ülkelerde
yoksulluğun azaltılması, gıda güvenliği, sanayiye girdi temini, döviz temin
etme, ekonomik büyüme konularındaki etkisi nedeniyle yeniden önem kazanmış ve
stratejik bir sektöre dönüşmüştür. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada gelişmiş sanayi
ülkeleriyle Türkiye’nin tarımsal göstergeleri incelenmiştir. Sonuçta gelişmiş
sanayi ülkelerinin tarımı geri plana atmadıkları aksine bilimsel araştırma
geliştirme çalışmaları, üretim, işleme, pazarlama, sistem ve örgütsel düzeyde
yaptıkları inovasyonlarla tarım sektörünü küresel boyutta stratejik bir konuma
taşıdıkları görülmüştür. Türkiye’nin bu gelişmelerin gerisinde kalmaması ve
sahip olduğu tarımsal potansiyeli değerlendirmesi açısından önem verilmesi
gereken konular değerlendirilmiştir.
