CMV IgG POZİTİFLİĞİNİN YAŞLA İLİŞKİSİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Sitomegalovirüs CMV enfeksiyonu sıklıkla asemptomatik olmasına rağmen, bağışıklık sistemi baskılanmış hastalarda ciddi patolojilere ve infantlarda önemli konjenital enfeksiyonlara neden olabilir. Bu nedenlerden dolayı hastalık önemli bir halk sağlığı sorunu olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada hastanemiz çeşitli polikliniklerine başvuran hastalarda CMV IgG prevalansının ve CMV IgG pozitifliği ile yaş arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlandı. Toplam seropozitiflik oranı %97.5 olarak saptandı. Seropozitiflik hemen her yaş grubunda yüksek bulundu ve yaşla birlikte seropozitifliğin arttığı gözlendi. Sonuç olarak bu veriler CMV IgG’nin toplumda yaygın olduğunu göstermektedir. Ancak CMV enfeksiyonu riskli gebeliklerde ve immünsüpresyonlu hastalarda daima akılda tutulmalıdır

THE EVALUATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CMV IgG POSITIVITY AND AGE

Abstract

Although cytomegalovirus CMV infection is often asymptomatic, it can cause severe pathology in immunosuppressed patients and an important congenital disease in infants. For these reasons, the disease is considered to be an important public health problem.In this study it was aimed to investigate the prevalence of IgG against CMV CMV-IgG and the relationship between CMV IgG positivity and age in patients who were admitted tovarious clinics of our hospital. The overall seroprevalance was %97.5. Seropositivity was found high in almost every age group and increased seropositivity with age was observed. In conclusion these datas show that CMV IgG is common the community. However CMV infections should be kept in mind in the case of immunosuppression and high-risk pregnancies
