PELVİK YETERSİZLİK KIRIĞI: OLGU SUNUMU

Abstract

Pelvik yetersizlik kırığı özellikle yaşlı osteoporotik bireylerde görülen bir çesit stres kırığıdır. Farkındalığın olmaması yanısıra hastaların genellikle bel, pelvis ve kasık ağrısı gibi nonspesifik semptomlarla başvurması nedeniyle tanısı gecikmekte veya atlanmaktadır. En önemli risk faktörü osteoporozdur. Bu olgu sunumunda osteoporoza bağlı pelvik yetersizlik kırığı olan yaşlı bir kadın hasta bildirilmiştir. Ani başlangıçlı ve şiddetli bel ve/veya pelvik ağrı ile başvuran osteoporotik yaşlılarda pelvik yetersizlik kırığı ayırıcı tanıda düşünülmelidir

PELVIC INSUFFICIENCY FRACTURE: CASE REPORT

Abstract

Pelvic insufficiency fracture is a type of stress fracture which is especially observed in osteoporotic elderly individuals. In addition to lack of awareness, since the patients usually present with nonspecific symptoms such as low back, pelvic and groin pain, its diagnose is delayed or overlooked. The most important risk factor is osteoporosis. In this case report, an elderly woman with pelvic insufficiency fracture is presented. Pelvic insufficiency fracture should be considered in the differential diagnosis in osteoporotic elderly individuals who present with acute, severe low back and/or pelvic pain
