KANSER HASTALARINDA VENÖZ PORT KATATER KULLANIMI: 5 YILLIK KLİNİK DENEYİMİMİZ

Year 2013, Volume: 17 Issue: 4, 198 - 205, 01.12.2013

Abstract

Port kateter ile uzun süreli intravenöz tedaviler rahatlıkla uygulanabilmektedir. Biz burada son beş yılda kliniğimizde venöz port kateter uygulamalarını sunduk. Kemoterapi uygulaması amacıyla intravenöz port kateter takılan kanser olgularının dosya ve elektronik kayıtları retrospektif olarak incelendi. Toplam 68 hastaya kemoterapi amaçlı port kateter takıldı. Hastaların 28’i kadın %41.2 , 40’ı %58.8 erkek idi. Yaş ortalaması 63.5 idi. Malignite olarak, 37 %54 hastada kolon, 15 %22.1 hastada mide, 8 %11.8 hastada meme, 4 %5.8 hastada pankreas, 2 %2.9 hastada özafagus, 1 %1.5 hastada karaciğer, 1 %1.5 hastada troid kanseri öyküsü vardı. İşlem ameliyathane koşullarında hastalar mönitörize edilerek, lokal anestezi altında yapıldı. Hastaların 64’üne %94.1 subklavyen ven üzerinden kateter takılırken, 4’üne 5.9 femoral ven üzerinden kateter takıldı. Deneyimli kişilerce portun takılması, tespitinin iyi yapılması, uygulama sonrası görüntüleme yöntemleriyle kontrollerinin yapılması ve port kateter bakımının titizlikle uygulanması önem arzetmektedir

USING OF VENOUS PORT CATHETER IN PATIENTS WITH CANCER: A 5-YEAR CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Year 2013, Volume: 17 Issue: 4, 198 - 205, 01.12.2013

Abstract

The long-term intravenous therapy can easily be applied with port catheter. We present applications of venous port cateter for five years in our clinic. Files and electronic records of cancer patients who were inserted intravenous catheter port were retrospectively analyzed. Port catheter was inserted to 68 patients for chemotheraphy. 28 41.2% of the patients were female,, 40 58.8% of them were male. The mean age was 63.5 years. 37 54% patients had a history of colon ca, 15 22.1% patients had gastric ca, 8 11.8% patients had breast ca, 4 5.8% patients with pancreatic ca, 2 2.9% patients had esophageal ca, 1 1.5% patient had liver ca, one 1.5% patients had thyroid ca. The process were performed in operating conditions under local anestesia and patients were monitored. The catheter inserted through subclavian vein in 64 94.1% patients and through femoral vein in 4 5,9% patients. The installation of port by experienced people, good suturatian, making control of port cateter after application by imaging techniques, the care of catheter port meticulously is important
