SÜPER VOLKANLAR VE KÜRESEL ETKİLERİ

Abstract

Süper volkanlar çok büyük miktarda magmanın püskürtüldüğü süper püskürmeler yapabilen volkanik alanlardır. Bu büyük püskürmelerden geriye çökme sonucu oluşan bir kaldera kalmaktadır. Püskürtülen büyük miktarda materyal dünyada geniş alanları etkilemektedir. Örneğin, Toba volkanının külleri Grönland buzul sondajlarında bulunmuştur. Bu büyük püskürmeler yakın çevrelerine çok büyük zarar verirken küresel boyutta sıcaklık azalmasına neden olmaktadır. Bununla beraber, süper püskürmeden sonra yeterli bir süre geçince verimli topraklar oluşmakta ve çok sayıda sıcak su kaynağı ile jeotermal alan meydana gelmektedir.

Super volcanoes and global effects

Abstract

Super volcanoes are volcanic areas capable of super-eruptions where the magma is ejected in very large quantities. These large eruptions are left behind by a caldera formed as a result of the collapse. The large amount of material that is sprayed affects large areas in the world. For example, the ashes of the Toba volcano were found in the Greenland glacier cores. These large eruptions cause great damage to nearby environments, causing a decreasing in temperature at the global dimension. However, after a super-eruption, generally fertile soils are formed and the geothermal field is formed by a large number of hot water springs.
