Floristic Evaluation of Kale Höyük (Center/Kırşehir) and Its Surroundings

Abstract

In this study, the flora of Alaaddin Kale Höyük, which is located in the center of Kirsehir and located on a 10-decare land, was investigated. The entire study area is within the borders of B5 square Kırşehir Province. Fieldwork was carried out in the Study area at different times between April 2021 and September 2022 and 206 plant samples were collected. By evaluating these samples, 126 species and subspecies taxa belonging to 43 families and 111 genera were determined. 4 of them are endemic to Turkey. As a culture plant, 46 taxa were determined. The distribution of the species in the phytographical regions is as follows: 46 taxa Culture, 27 taxa region uncertain, 29 taxa Cosmopolitan, 14 taxa Ir-Tur element, 8 taxa Mediterranean element, 2 taxa belong to Euro-Siberian phytographical regions. The three families that contain the most taxa in the research area are respectively; Rosaceae are Asteraceae and Poaceae.
