Length-Weight Relationships (LWRs) for 13 Gobio Species from Inland Waters of Turkey

Abstract

This study aims to determine some population parameters of Gobio species that are dispersed through Turkey. In this study, 468 individuals from 13 Gobio species located in Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Fisheries and Aquatic Faculty of Fisheries Museum were examined. Total lenght (TL), fork lenght (FL), standart lenght (SL) and weight (W) of individuals were measured. Lenght-weight and lenght-lenght relationships of 13 Gobio species were analyzed. The value of “b” of the lenght-weight relationships ranged from 2,732 (G. insuyanus) to 3,933 (G. bulgaricus). Growth was found as positive allometric for G. artvinicus (P<0,05), G. bulgaricus (P<0,001), G. fahrettini (P<0,001), G. kovatschevi (P<0,001) G. microlepidotus and isometric for G. baliki, G. gymnostethus, G. hettitorum, G. insuyanus, G. intermedius, G. kizilirmakensis, G. maeandricus, G. sakaryaensis. Lenght-weight relationship parameters of G. artvinicus, G. baliki, G. fahrettini, G. intermedius, G. kizilirmakensis and G. maeandricus are the first data. Maximum total lenght was determined for the G. gymnostethus (14,2 cm) and G. kovatschevi (11,9 cm) species.

Türkiye İç Sularında Dağılım Gösteren 13 Gobio Türünün Boy-Ağırlık İlişkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Türkiye iç sularında dağılım gösteren Gobio türlerinin bazı populasyon parametrelerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Üniversitesi Su Ürünleri Fakültesi Su Ürünleri Müzesi’nde bulunan 13 Gobio türüne ait 468 birey incelenmiştir. Bireylerin toplam boy (TL), çatal boy (FL), standart boy (SL) ve ağırlık (W) ölçümleri yapılmıştır. 13 Gobio türünün boy-ağırlık ve boy-boy ilişkileri incelenmiştir. Boy- ağırlık ilişkilerinin “b” değeri 2,732 (G. insuyanus) ile 3,933 (G. bulgaricus) arasında değişmiştir. Büyümenin G. artvinicus (P<0,05), G. bulgaricus (P<0,001), G. fahrettini (P<0,001), G. kovatschevi (P<0,001) ve G. microlepidotus türlerinde pozitif allometrik, G. baliki, G. gymnostethus, G. hettitorum, G. insuyanus, G. intermedius, G. kizilirmakensis, G. maeandricus ve G. sakaryaensis türlerinde ise izometrik olduğu belirlenmiştir. G. artvinicus, G. baliki, G. fahrettini, G. intermedius, G. kizilirmakensis ve G. maeandricus türlerine ait boy-ağırlık ilişkisi parametreleri ilk verilerdir. G. gymnostethus (14,2 cm) ve G. kovatschevi (11,9 cm) türleri için en büyük toplam boy değeri tespit edilmiştir.
