Koronagrafın Astronomideki Uygulamaları

Abstract

Son on beş yıl içinde, Güneş Sistemimizin dışındaki gezegenlerin (ötegezegen) keşfi nispeten yaygın bir olay haline gelmiştir. Günümüzde 4500'den fazla ötegezegenin çoğu dolaylı algılama yöntemleri ile keşfedilmiştir. Bu türden (dolaylı) yöntemler, ölçülen gerçek sonuçlara ulaştıramayabileceğinden ötegezegenlerin kendi ürettikleri veya yansıttıkları ışığın “Doğrudan Görüntüleme Yöntemi” olarak adlandırılan yöntem ile doğrudan gözlenmesi oldukça önemlidir. Doğrudan görüntüleme yöntemi, tekli veya çoklu ötegezegen sistemlerini ve buna bağlı olarak bu sistemlerin dinamik evrimlerini ortaya koyabilir. Bunlara ek olarak aktif galaksi çekirdekleri, kütle aktarım mekanizmaları veya protostar oluşumu ve evrimi veya parlak bir bileşenin yanında yer alan daha sönük bileşenler gibi birçok sistem ve mekanizmanın çalışılmasını mümkün kılar. Bu nedenle bu yöntemin önemi teknolojinin gelişmesi ile birlikte giderek artmaktadır. Bu çalışmamız kapsamında toplanan bilgiler ile yakın bir zamanda DAG (Doğu Anadolu Gözlemevi) bünyesinde tamamlanacak olan 4-m sınıfı optik/kızılötesi teleskopta kullanılması hedeflenen “Koronagraf Aygıtı” ile “Doğrudan Görüntüleme” yönteminin nasıl uygulanabileceğine dair bir temel oluşturulması hedeflenmektedir.

Applications of Coronagraph in Astronomy

Abstract

In the last fifteen years, the discovery of the planets (exoplanets) of our Solar System on Earth has become relatively common. Nowadays, more than 4500 exoplanets have been discovered by indirect learning methods. Since such methods may not lead to real results, it is important to directly observe the residue produced or reflected by the exoplanets themselves with the method as “Direct Imaging Method”. Direct imaging method can reveal single or multiple exoplanet systems and their dynamical evolution accordingly. In addition, it makes it possible to study many stellar systems and astrophysical mechanisms, i.e.active galaxies, mass transfer mechanisms, or protostar formation and evolution, or faint components (or stars) nearby a bright source. The importance of this method isgradually increased by the development of technology. Within this study, it is aimed to provide a basis for how the “Direct Imagining” method can be used with the “Coronagraph Device” on the 4-m class optical/infrared telescope which isplanned to be completed soon within DAG (Eastern Anatolia Observatory).
