JAST - JOURNAL OF AMERICAN STUDIES OF TURKEY (ISSN: 1300-6606)


The Journal of American Studies of Turkey (JAST) is an international, biannual print and online publication of the American Studies Association of Turkey (ASAT). The journal follows a double-blind peer review process and publishes transdisciplinary research in English on a wide range of topics related to American literature, history, art, music, film, popular culture, institutions, politics, economics, geography, and more.

Since its inception in 1995, JAST has been the sole academic journal for American Studies in Turkey. As part of its mission, the journal supports the work of both Turkish and international scholars engaged in American Studies. JAST is indexed in the MLA International Bibliography, Index Islamicus and Jufo Portal. It appears in the Ulrich’s International Periodicals Directory and the MLA Directory of Periodicals. It can be accessed in print and online through Dergi Park database (see the sidebar) and ASAT website.

The American Studies Association of Turkey (ASAT), founded in 1988, is committed to promoting American Studies in Turkey. ASAT is a member of the European Association for American Studies (EAAS). It does not assume responsibility for the views or statements expressed by contributors in the journal.
