Abstract

Dermatomyositis is a rare disease of unknown etiology characterized by proximal muscle weakness as a result of inflammation and degeneration of muscles. Concerning the anesthetic management of a patient with dermatomyositis, there is little and conflict information on the appropriate use of muscle relaxants. In this case we present an anesthetic management in a patient diagnosed as dermatomyositis. J Clin Exp Invest 2012; 3(2): 277-279

Abstract

Dermatomyozit, etyolojisi belli olmayan, nadir, kaslardaki inflamasyon ve dejenerasyona bağlı olarak, proksimal kaslardaki güçsüzlükle karakterize bir hastalıktır. Hastalığın anestezi yönetimi, özellikle de kas gevşetici kullanımı ile ilgili hem az, hem de çelişkili bilgiler bulunmaktadır. Biz bu olguda, dermatomyozit teşhis edilmiş bir hastada, anestezik yönetimi sunduk.
