Saç-İplik Turnike Sendromu: Vaka Sunumu

Abstract

Saç iplik turnike sendromu, vücudun çeşitli bölgelerinde, uzuvların saç teli veya iplik ile dolanmasına bağlı dolaşı- mının bozulması sonucu fonksiyon kaybı veya uzvun kaybı- na neden olan ender ama ciddi bir durumdur. Birinci vakamuz, ateş, huzursuzluk ve sağ ayak dördüncü parma- ğında şişlik kızarıklık yakınması ile başvurdu. Fizik muaye- nesinde sağ ayak parmağında belirgin şişlik, kızarıklık ve ısı artışı yanında hastanın sağ ayak 4. parmak orta falank- sını çevreleyen saç teli saptandı. Saç teli çıkarılarak siste- mik antibiyoterapi başlanan hastamız nekroz gelişmeden başarılı bir şekilde tedavi edildi. İkinci vakamız, sağ ayak ikinci parmakta şişlik ve kızarıklık yakınması ile başvurdu. Sağ ayak ikinci parmakta orta falanksı çevreleyen saç teli serbestleştirildikten sonra ek tedaviye gerek olmadan düzelme sağlandı. Vakalarımız, aynı yakınmayla başvuran hastalarda saç iplik turnike sendromunun araştırılması gerektiğine örnek teşkil etmesi açısından sunulmuştur

Hair-Thread Tourniquet Syndrome: Case Report

Abstract

Hair-thread tourniquet syndrome is a rare but a serious problem characterized by various bodily organs entangled by a strand of hair or some other similar material which causes impairment of drainage of the involved organ, and results in function or organ loss. The first patient was refe- red to us with fever, irritability and swelling and redness in the right fourth toe. Examination revealed prominent swel- ling and redness in the right toe with a tight hair tourniqu- et on the distal phalangeal joint. The hair loop was remo- ved before necrosis has developed, and systemic antibiot- herapy was started. The second patient presented with swelling and redness of the right second toe that succes- fully recovered after removal of the hair. We have presented these cases in order to point out that hair-thread tourniqu- et syndrome should be considered in cases referred with similar complaints
