Motor-Mental Retardasyon, Epilepsi ve Polinöropatinin Eşlik Ettiği Amniyotik Band Sendromu: Bir Vaka Sunumu

Abstract

Amniyotik band sendromu, basit dijital band konstrüksiyo- nundan major kraniyofasiyal, viseral defektler ve ölümle sonuçlanan anomaliler spektrumudur. Bu yazıda status epileptikus tablosunda gelen motor mental retarde, polinö- ropatili ve amniyotik band sendromu tanısı alan 15 yaşın- da erkek hasta sunulmaktadır. Bu durum annesinin gebelik sırasında oral kontraseptif kullanımına bağlandı. Sosyoekonomik ve eğitim düzeyi düşük bölgelerde gebelik- lerin takibinin yaygınlaşması gerektiği, ayrıca doğum sonrası çocuk izleminin yaygınlaştırılmasının önemini vur- gulamak amacıyla bu makalenin sunulması uygun görül- müştür

Amniotic Band Syndrome Associated with Motor-Mental Retardation, Epilepsy and Polyneuropathy: A Case Report

Abstract

Amniotic band syndrome, is a spectrum of anomalies var- ying from simple digital band constriction to major crani- ofacial and visceral defects and result with death. We have presented a 15 years old male patient who had come in status epilepticus, who was motor –mental retarded and in following polyneuropathy was detected and he had diagno- sed as amniotic band syndrome. This condition was linked usage of oral contraceptive drugs during gestation period by his mother without awareness of being pregnant. We found publishing of this article is suitable in aim of; preg- nancy control and follow-up should become prevalent in low socioeconomic and economic level regions, also to emphasize importance of becoming prevalent of child follow-up after birth
