Abstract

Mycoplasma pneumoniae MP ’nın neden olduğu pulmo- ner infeksiyonlarda hastaların % 25 kadarına kutanöz reaksiyonlar eşlik edebilir. Solunum sistemi dışında; cilt, hematolojik, kardiyak, eklem, santral sinir sistemi ve gast- rointestinal sistem tutulumlarının mikroorganizmanın direkt invazyonu ya da otoimmün mekanizmalarla gerçek- leştiği düşünülmektedir. En sık görülen kutanöz reaksiyonu nonspesifik ekzantem olmakla birlikte eritema multiforme EM hastalık spektrumu ile yakından ilişkilidir. Bu yazıda MP’nın kutanöz bulgularından EM’yi anımsatmak ve anti- biyotik tedavisine rağmen, bu tür respiratuvar sistem dışı komplikasyonların gelişebileceğini vurgulamak amacı ile bir vaka sunulmuştur

Abstract

Mycoplasma pneumoniae MP causes cutaneous reacti- ons in up to 25 % of patients with pulmonary infections. Extrarespiratory illness skin, hematologic, heart, joints, central nervous system, and gastrointestinal tract may involve direct invasion with MP or may involve autoimmu- ne mechanisms. The most common cutaneous reaction due to MP is a nonspecific exanthem and MP has also been associated with erythema mulltiforme spectrum of disease. We presented a case to remind EM as one of the cutaneous reactions of MP infection and to emphasize antibiotic tre- atment may not decrease the risk of extrarespiratory comp- lications
