Çocuklarda Flor Kullanımının Yarar ve Zararlarının Değerlendirilmesi

Year 2009, Volume: 9 Issue: 1, 8 - 15, 01.01.2009

Abstract

Analysis of the Benefits and Detriments of Using Fluoride Supplements for Children

Year 2009, Volume: 9 Issue: 1, 8 - 15, 01.01.2009

Abstract

Fluoride is a hallogen which is one of the necessary ele- ments for human body and occurs in variable concentrati- ons in the atmosphere, earth, water, plants and animal tissues. Fluoride deficiency, is not a serious health problem but incidence of tooth caries is releated to the low fluoride concentration in water; on the other hand, cleaning of mouth, teeth and tongue after each feeding, constitutes the backbone for the prevention of tooth caries. There are some risks of getting immoderate fluoride. Fluoride supp- lementation is still among the issues which is commonly debated. In this article, the systemic effects of using fluori- de on child health and development was reevaluated under evidence based data
