Gülen Çağdaş İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Mühendislik Mimarlık Fakültesi Mimarlık Bölümü’nden 1976 yılında mezun oldu. !979 yılında Mimarlık Mühendislik Lisans Sonrası (MMLS) Mimari Tasarım Kuram ve Yöntemleri Programından Yüksek Mimar unvanını aldı. 1981 yılında Mühendislik Mimarlık Fakültesi Mimarlık Bölümü’nde Asistan kadrosuna, 1982 yılında Araştırma Görevlisi kadrosuna atandı. 1986 yılında İTÜ Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsünden Bina Bilgisi alanında Doktora derecesini aldı. Mimarlık Fakültesi Mimarlık Bölümünde 1987 yılında Yardımcı Doçent, 1989 yılında Doçent ve 2007 yılında Profesör kadrolarına atandı. 1991-1994 yılları arasında Mimarlık Bölümü Başkan Yardımcılığı, 1997-2000 yılları arasında Mimarlık Fakültesi Dekan Yardımcılığı, 2004-2007 yılları arasında Bina Bilgisi Anabilim Dalı Başkanlığı ve 2008-2012 yılları arasında Mimarlık Bölüm Başkanlığı görevlerini yaptı. 2000-2015 yılları arasında İTÜ Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Mimari Tasarımda Bilişim Lisansüstü Programı kurucu Koordinatörlüğü ve 2006-2018 yılları arasında da aynı enstitüde Bilişim Anabilim Dalı kurucu Başkanlığı görevlerinde bulundu. Mimari Tasarımda Bilişim alanında araştırmaları ve yayınları bulunmaktadır. 66

Sema Alaçam is an associate professor at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, and serves as the Coordinator of the Game and Interaction Technologies Master Program. Her research focuses on computational design, digital fabrication, and AI-driven architectural approaches. She received her PhD in Architectural Design Computing from ITU and has conducted research at TU Delft, ETH Zurich, University of Oregon, and Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. She is a co-founder of arfLAB.
