Abstract

Bu çalışmada uluslararası işlemlerde dolarsızlaşma eğilimleri incelenerek, bu durumun yeni dünya iktisadi sistemindeki yeri tartışılmaktadır. İkinci Dünya Savaşı sonrası ABD doları küresel rezerv para birimi statüsü edinmiş ve bu konum farklı dönemlerdeki farklı uyarlamalarla günümüze kadar gelmiştir. Ancak son zamanlarda yaşanan ve kovid-19 salgını sonrası hız kazanan iktisadi gelişmeler dolarsızlaşma eğilimini hızlandırmıştır. ABD’nin küresel ekonomi ve ticarette özellikle Çin’e karşı mevzi kaybetmesi, uluslararası para transfer mekanizmasında SWIFT harici seçenekleri gündeme getirilmesi, dolar dışı finansal varlıklara piyasalarda talebin artması ve blokzincir temelli dijital ulusal paraların ortaya çıkması gibi faktörler yeni uluslararası iktisadi düzende ABD dolarının rezerv para konumuna meydan okumaktadır.

De-dollarization Trends in the New International Economic Order

Abstract

In this study, the de-dollarization trends in international transactions are examined and its place in the new world economic system is discussed. After the Second World War, the US dollar has gained the status of global reserve currency and this position has come to the present day with different adaptations in different periods. However, recent economic developments that have gained momentum after the Covid-19 epidemic have accelerated the tendency of "de-dollarization". Factors such as the loss of share of the US gravity in the global economy and trade, especially against China, the introduction of non-SWIFT options in the international money transfer mechanisms, the increase in the demand for non-dollar financial assets in the markets, and the emergence of block chain based digital national currencies have been challenging the current status-quo of US dollar as global reserve currency in the new international economic order.
