The Effect of Organizational Cynicism Perception on Organizational Trust
Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of organizational cynicism (OC) on organizational trust (OT) among healthcare workers. In addition, differences in OC and OT levels according to demographic variables (gender, age, profession, and marital status) were analyzed. This study was conducted using a quantitative research designThe sample of the study consisted of 347 healthcare workers. SPSS 25 and SmartPLS software programs were used for data analysis. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-tests, ANOVA, and structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) analyses were performed. Normality assumptions were tested using skewness and kurtosis values. The effect of OC on OT was examined through path analysis. The structural equation modeling results revealed that OC had a strong and significant negative effect on OT (β = -0.895, p < 0.001). This finding indicates that as OC increases, OT decreases.
