LİSE ÇAĞINDA OKUL BIRAKMAYI ÖNLEMEDE DİSİPLİNLERARASI EŞ-LİDERLİK: UYGULAMA SORUNLARI

Year 2019, Volume: 3 Issue: 2, 161 - 175, 31.12.2019

Abstract

Year 2019, Volume: 3 Issue: 2, 161 - 175, 31.12.2019

Abstract

An inner-city alternative public high school developed a model of teamwork between teacher and graduate social work intern designed to prevent dropout. This model provides a framework for programmatic responses to problems of school dropout among inner-city minority youths and also furnishes new opportunities for intern training in school social work. The development ofthe interdisciplinary partnership is described in this article. After several years of experience and resulting teacher and social work intern input, the model was evaluated with respect to qualitative results, obstacles to success, gains, and articulation between intern placement and graduate school of social work.
