WOMEN'S EMPLOYMENT IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR IN THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS OF TURKEY

Abstract

Purpose- The aim of this study is to demonstrate the relationship between Turkey's development process, with the transformation of the agricultural sector in female employment in the agricultural sector. The state of the agricultural sector in the development process of Turkey in this context is realized in which the female employment rate in the agriculture sector and employment of women in the agricultural sector during this period has been studied how to be an impact on the agricultural production value. Methodology- Data for the years 2000-2018 for Turkey, which is a relational scanning model of quantitative research methods LS-Least Squares (NLS and ARMA) has been the method of analysis. Findings- According to the findings obtained as a result of the analysis, female employment in the agricultural sector had a positive effect on both nominal and real production values of agricultural products. Conclusion- Based on the positive impact of female employment in the agricultural sector on both nominal and real production values of agricultural products such as vegetables, fruit and spice crops, other than cereals, and other vegetable crops, women's employment in agriculture is a very important factor in the development process of the agricultural sector.
