Visible increases in foreign direct capital inflows started to be observed beginning from the middle of the 1990s, when privatization activities gathered speed in Turkey. These increases have been reported at record levels, particularly starting from the 2000s. In this paper, the objective is to analyze the relationship between FDI and economic growth in Turkey by using the data covering the time period between 1998:Q1 and 2014:Q3. For this purpose unit root test and Johansen cointegration test were applied. According to the results of the empirical analysis; there is no relationship between foreign direct investment and economic growth in the long run
