Hirudoterapiye Bağlı Gelişen Bilateral Hemartroz: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Giriş: Latince ismi hirudoterapi olan sülüklerle tedavi son yıllarda tekrar popülarite kazanmış olmasına rağmen eski çağlardan beri kullanılmaktadır. Olgu Sunumu: 64 yaşında bayan hasta dizlerinde ağrı ve şişlik nedeniyle acil servisimize başvurdu. Kumadin tedavisi almakta olan hasta, ağrıları nedeniyle her iki dizine sülük uygulamıştı. Her iki diz bölgesinde lokalize durdurulamayan kanama ve hemartroz saptanan hasta acil yaklaşım sonrası yatırılarak tedavi edildi. Herhangi bir komplikasyon gelişmeyen hasta tedavi sonrası taburcu edildi. Sonuç: Hirudoterapi doğal bir tedavi metodu olmasına karşın, kanama diatezini de içeren bazı komplikasyonları vardır. Uygulama öncesi hasta dikkatlice değerlendirilmeli, aldığı ilaçlar ve mevcut hastalıkları sorgulanmalıdır.

Bilateral Hemarthrosis due to Hirudotherapy: Case Report

Abstract

Introduction: Treatment with leeches known as hirudotherapy in Latin language. Although it has been obtained popularity recently, it has been used since ancient times. Case report: A 64-year-old woman presented to our emergency service with bilateral knee pain and swelling. The patient has been used coumadine, and because of pain she has been applied leechs bilateral her knees. After emergency management, because of unstopped lokalised bleeding on knees and hemarthrosis, the patient was hospitalised in hematology clinic. After treatment, the patient was discharged without any complication.Conclusion: Although hirudotherapy is natural treatment method, it has certain complications inludes also bleeding diathesis. Previous to application of hirudotherapy, patient should be evaluated carefully and should be ask about drugs received and present diseases
