Nadir Bir Pika Komplikasyonu: Çakıl Taşına Bağlı Özofagial Tıkanıklık

Abstract

Giriş: Özofagial yabancı cisimler çocuklarda en sık metal para, yetişkinlerde ise gıda artıklarından kaynaklanırken mental retarde bireylerde alışılmadık yabancı cisimlerle karşılaşılabilmektedir. Olgu Sunumu: Tükürüğünü yutamama şikayeti ile acil servise başvuran 33 yaşında mental retarde bayan hastanın servikal grafisinde özofagusta taş ile uyumlu bir görünüm tespit edildi. Öyküsünde çocukluğundan beri taş yeme alışkanlığı olduğu öğrenildi. Sonuç: Literatürde taşa bağlı özefageal tıkanıklık nadir olarak bildirildiğinden bu olgunun sunulup literatür eşliğinde tartışılması amaçlanmıştır.

A Rare Complication of Pica: Eosofagus Obstruction Resulting from Pebble Ingestion

Abstract

Introduction: While the chief cause of eosofagus foreign bodies in children is ingestion of coins, the main cause in adults is impacted food, whereas in mentally retarded patients unusual foreign body ingestions may be encountered. Case Report: A 33 year old female patient presented to the Emergency Department with difficulty in swallowing saliva. The lateral cervical X-Ray revealed an appearance compatible with pebble. The history revealed a pica of pebble from her childhood. Conclusion: Because the literature has only very rare reports on eosofagus impaction due to a pebble, this case aimed to present and discuss this in the light of the literature
