Yeniden Yabanlaştırma: Ekosistem Yönetiminde Bir Yaklaşım

Öz

Yeniden yabanlaştırma bozulan ekosistemlerin yönetimine ilişkin yeni sayılabilecek bir yaklaşımdır. Kavram yaklaşık yirmi yıldır bilimsel olarak incelenmektedir. Yeniden yabanlaştırma uygulamaları dünyanın çeşitli bölgelerinde uygulanmaktadır. Bu makale yeniden yabanlaştırma kavramını tanıtmak ve onun konuyla ilişkili diğer kavramlarla ilişkilerini incelemek amacıyla yazılmıştır. Bununla birlikte, Avrupa’dan bazı yeniden yabanlaştırma projelerine örneklendirilmiş ve Türkiye’de yeniden yabanlaştırma uygulamalarının öncelikle gerçekleştirilebileceği alan önerilerine yer verilmiştir.

Rewilding: An Approach in Ecosystem Management

Abstract

Rewilding is a new approach to the management of degraded ecosystems. The concept has been studied scientifically for nearly two decades. Rewilding practices are applied in various parts of the world. This article was written to introduce the concept of rewilding and to examine its relations with other related concepts. However, some rewilding projects in Europe were listed and some suggestions on where rewilding projects can be carried out primarily in Turkey were given.
