Sirkadiyen Ritim İle Yeme Zamanı İlişkisi
Öz
Dünyadaki yaşam, hayat şartlarındaki günlük döngüsel değişikliklerle devam etmektedir. Bitkiler gündüz fotosentez yaparken, bazı hayvanlar gün aydınlığında uyurlar. Birçok canlı organizma, etkinliklerin uygun zamanlarda ifade edilmesini sağlayan sirkadiyen saatler adı verilen 24 saatlik içsel döngüler geliştirmiştir. Diurnal canlı olan insanlar da geceleri uyur, gündüzleri beslenirler. Ancak beslenme sorunlarının son yıllarda artması besin alımının sadece aydınlık-karanlık döngüsünün ötesinde olduğunu göstermektedir. Yapılan birçok çalışmada, insan sirkadiyen sisteminin davranışsal faktörlerinden bağımsız olarak beslenme zamanını düzenlediğini ortaya koymaktadır.
