Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the contents of the plays that are created by the undergraduate students of child development. Method: The study was conducted with basic qualitative research method which is one of the qualitative research methods. The research was conducted in the fall semester of 2019-2020 academic year and 56 child development undergraduate students. As a data collection tool, “Play Evaluation Form” which was developed by the researcher and took its final form in accordance with expert opinions was used. An interview was made with the undergraduate students in the study group and we said, “If you wanted to play a game with the children of your age, assuming that you will have all the materials and space available, what kind of game would you play? Can you write on the paper I gave in detail?” The students wrote the games they created without time limitation on the blank A4 sheets given by the researcher. Content analysis was used in data analysis. Results: As a result of the research, it was concluded that 64.28% of the games of undergraduate students were played indoors, 46.43% did not require active movement and 71.43% were structured plays. At the same time, the development stage of the content of the games was examined and it was determined that 53.57% of the games were cognitive, 50% of them were motor and 8.93% were more dominant in language and social development. In addition, none of the games had rhymes, while only 16.07% used music. Conclusion: It was concluded that the content features of the plays prepared by child development undergraduate students were lower than expected
