Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Şeybânî’nin orijinal metni ile Serahsî’nin şerhinden oluşan ve İslam entelektüel tarihinin sadece iktisadi bir konuya tahsis edilmiş en eski ve en önemli metinlerinden biri olan Kitâbu’l-Kesb isimli eseri, hem metni, hem de içeriği itibariyle ayrıntılı bir incelemeye tabi tutacağız. Çalışma birbirinin devamı olan üç kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Bu sayıda yer alan kısım, anılan metnin bazı problematik yönlerinin tartışılmasına ilaveten, onun içeriğiyle ilgili genel bir değerlendirmeyi içermektedir. Onu izleyecek olan iki kısımda ise sırasıyla kesb ve infak konuları ile bir bütün olarak Kitâbu’l-Kesb üzerindeki değerlendirmelerimiz yer alacaktır.

Formation of the Economic Dimension of Islamic Intellectual Tradition: al-Shaybani, al-Sarakhsi and Kitāb al-Kasb

Abstract

In this essay we shall provide a detailed analysis and evaluation of both the text and the content of Kitāb al-Kasb—One of the oldest texts devoted specifically to an economic issue in the intellectual history of Islam. In its present shape, Kitāb al-Kasb is comprised of al-Shaybânî’s original text and al-Sarakhsî’s commentary in an interwoven way. Our work on it is comprised of three consecutive parts. The present part contains a critical assessment of the problematic aspects of its text as well as an overview of its contents. The parts that are to follow will concentrate on major themes of its content such as kasb, infaq, social solidarity as well as an overall analysis and evaluation from an economic point of view.
