The effect of big data analysis for sustainable transportation

Abstract

We produce and store large amounts of data in daily
life, with or without awareness, through technological tools such as mobile
phones, sensors, cameras, and the internet. If they are not used, these data,
which are garbage, make important contributions to sustainable transportation
if used properly. 
Considering the increase in demand in road transportation
and the environmental impacts associated with it, it has become imperative to
reuse enormous amounts of data produced continuously in the world for the
economy, time, and sustainable life. 
In
the study, the examples of sustainable transportation and big data are
discussed with examples from the world, how to use this big data in the
transportation sector and the economic, technical and environmental gains that
this benefit will provide are made and suggestions are made regarding the use
of big data.
