DİŞ HEKİMLİĞİNDE HYALURONİK ASİDİN YERİ

Abstract

Hyaluronik asit (HA), ekstrasellüler matriksin ana komponentlerinden biri olup fibroblastlar ve kondrositler tarafından sentezlenir. Hücre proliferasyonunda, doku tamirinde, hücre göçünde ve bazı malign tümörlerin progresyonunda rol oynayan bir polisakkarittir. Günümüzde HA tıp alanında anti-inflamatuar ve anti-ödematöz özelliklerinden dolayı oftalmoloji, dermatoloji, ortopedi ve romatoloji dallarında sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır. Diş hekimliğinde kullanımı çok yeni olmakla beraber temporomandibular eklem (TME) osteoartrit tedavisinde, ülseratif lezyonların tedavisinde ve cerrahi operasyonlarda kullanılmaktadır. Bu derlemede, bizim amacımız birçok alanda kullanılan HA’nın diş hekimliğinde kullanımı ile ilgili güncel bilgileri aktarmaktır.
