ÇENE KEMİKLERİNDE GÖRÜLEN İDİYOPATİK OSTEOSKLEROZİSİN TÜRK POPULASYONUNDAKİ SIKLIĞININ BELİRLENMESİ(PİLOT ÇALIŞMA)

Abstract

Amaç: Çene kemiklerinde görülen idiyopatik osteosklerozisin (IO) sıklığını, dağılımını, lokalizasyonunu, boyutunu ve dişlerle ilişkisini dental volumetrik tomografi bulgularından yararlanarak belirlemektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Ocak 2007- Mart 2010 tarihleri arasında özel bir radyolojik görüntüleme merkezine başvuran 500 hastanın 3D dental volumetrik tomografileri incelendi. Hasta bilgileri araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanmış bir form üzerine kaydedildi. Çalışmanın biyoistatistiksel çözümlemesinde SPSS paket programı kullanıldı. Bulgular: 500 hastanın 59'unda (%11.8) IO bulundu. 20 hastada (%4) tespit edilen radyoopak alanlar IO tanı kriterlerine uygun kabul edildi. IO lezyonlarının mandibulada molar dişler bölgesinde daha sık dağılım gösterdiği saptanmış ancak istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır (p > 0.05). Sonuç: Çalışmamız üç boyutlu görüntüleme yöntemi ile gerçekleştiğinden lezyonların çenelerdeki lokalizasyonları, boyutları ve dişlerle ilişkisi ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiş ve bulguların diğer çalışmalarla benzerlik gösterdiği saptanmıştır.
