SORBİTOLÜN KOMPOZİT REÇİNENİN YÜZEY SERTLİĞİNE ETKİSİ-EFFECT OF SORBITOL ON SURFACE HARDNESS OF COMPOSITE RESIN
Abstract
Özet Kompozit reçinelerin mekanik Özelliklerinin alkol gibi bazı kimyasal maddelerden etkilendiği bilinmektedir. Çürükten korunmak için çikletlere eklenen sorbito-lün, kompozit reçinenin yüzey sertliğine etkisini incelemek amacı ile bu çalışma planlanmıştır. Çalışmada %B ve %10'luk sorbitol çözeltileri 3 ay süre ile reçine yüzeylerine uygulanmış ve her ayın sonunda reçinenin yüzey mikroserüiği saptanmıştır. Her iki çözelti de yüzey sertliğini anlamlı olarak azalmıştır. Her iki uygulama birbirleri ile karşılaştırıldığında anlamlı farklar elde edilememiştir. Reçinedeki yumaşamamn, yükselen OH iyon konsantrasyonu sonucu "otokatalİtik" reaksiyonla gerçekliştiği, meydana gelen yumuşamanın klinik aşınmaya olumsuz etkileri olabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır. Anahtar kelimeler: Kompozit reçine, Sorbitol, Yüzey . sertliği. Abstract It was known that some of chemical agents such as alcohol effect the mechanical properties of the composite resins. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of sorbitol, used for the prevention of dental caries with chewing gum, on surface microhardness of composite resin. The composite resins samples were treated -with sorbitol, in two different dilutions (5%, 10%) during 3 months and at the end of each month surface microhardness of the resins were decreased significantly in all solutions. There was no significant differences when compared the effect of two different concentration. It was concluded Uiat softening of the composite resins occur with the increase of the OH ion concentration because of the otocatalitic reaction, and this softening may effect negatively on clinical wear.
