TEMPOROMANDİBULAR EKLEM DİSFONKSİYON SENDROMUNDA ETYOLOJİK FAKTÖRLERİN DAĞILIMI-THE DISSOCIATION AT THE CAUSATIVE FACTORS IN TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT DYSFUNCTION SYNDROME

Abstract

Özet

Temporomandibular eklem disfonksiyon sendromun-da (TMEDS),çok sayıda etyolojik faktör suçlanmaktadır. Çalışmamızda istanbul Tıp Fakültesi, Fiziksel Tıp ve Rehabilitasyon Anabilim Dalı, Çene Eklemi Hastalıkları Tam ve Tedavi Ünitesine (ÇEHTU) başvuran ve TMEDS tanısı ile takip ettiğimiz hastalanmızdaki etyolojik faktörleri belirlemeyi amaçladık. Altiyüzellido-kuz hastanın dosyaları ertrospektif olarak incelendi. Hastaların büyük bir çoğunluğunda bir tek faktör söz konusu değildi. En çok görülen faktörler, miyofasiyal ağrı sendromunu (MAS) (%68), tek taraflı çiğneme alışkanlığı (% 51) ve diş sıkma (% 38) olarak bulundu. Sonuç olarak, TMEDS'te etyoloji multifaktöryel olup, tedavi de multidisipliner olmalıdır.

Abstract

The etiology in temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJDs) are multifactorial. The aim of this study is to determine factors that are caused temporomandibular joint dysfunction syndrome in the patients attended to Temporomandibular Joint Disorder Diagnosis and Treatment Unit of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department of Istanbul Medicine Faculty. The files of659patients temporomandibular joint dysfunction syndrome in our patients. The most important factors are myofascial pain syndrome, the habits of unique direction chewing and teeth squeezing. These results show that the etiology in TMJDS are multifactorial and the treatment must be multidiscipliner.
