Abstract
SUMMARY
The writer who is also a professor of history of dentistry at the Faculty of dentistry primarily talks about his interest to this subject beginning from his school years and says that he has seen and attended to the treatments made on this subject with antiseptic washings when he worked with Prof. Chompret at the Stomatology clinics of St. Louis Hospital in Paris. After all, he says that the essential treatment of this subject was made by waiting the sequestrations when he worked with Prof. Kantorowitz as assistant profesor at the clinics of furgery of the Istanbul University.
The writer, after all, says that this illness was considered to be a complex of Hlnesses instead of a single illness, by the old people, and that according to this principle the farm we see with the children was taken care of. Ait last, comparing the old and new conceptions of pathology, diagnosis and treatment, he indicates various treatments in various types of the illness according to new essentials.
