Bu çalışmada, hemostatik maddelerin yara iyileşmesi üzerine olan etkilerini klinik olarak araştırabilmek amacıyla gömük 20 yaş dişlerini cerrahi çekimle çıkardığımızda hastalardan 10'una rastlantısal olarak spongostan, 10'una ise sugicel uyguladık. Diğer 10 hasta kontrol grubumuz oluşturdu. Hastaların çekim sonrası değerlendirmelerine göre yaptığımız istatistiksel incelemelerde, kanama açısından hiçbir fark saptanmamış olmasına rağmen şişlik ve ağrı açısından kontrol grubu lehine anlamlı farklılıklar elde ettik.

In this study the effects of hemostatic materials on wound healing were investigated clinically. After the surgical removal of impacted third molars, spongostan was used in ten patients, randomly chosen; Surgicel was also use the patients. Another group of ten patients constituted the control group. The statistical tests conducted after the patients postoperatif evaluations. They showed no difference in bleeding, while statistically significant differences on behalf of the control group in swelling and pain.
