Ailelerin diş çürüklerinin önlenmesi konusundaki bilgi düzeyleri, ağız-diş sağlığına özen göstermeleri konusunda ebeveynlerin kendilerine ve çocuklarına ilişkin yaklaşımları ebeveynin cinsiyetine, ailelerin eğitim ve ekonomik düzeylerine göre incelenmiş; ayrıca anne ya da babanın kendisinin ve çocuğunun çürük sıklık derecelerinin çocuğunu çürükten koruma yaklaşımlarına etkisi araştırılarak koruyucu uygulamalar konusundaki faktörler tartışılmıştır.

The knowledge levels of the families in caries prevention, the attitudes of the parents in taking oral-dental health care for themselves and for their children are evaluated according to the sex of the parent and to socio-economic levels of the families: also the effect of the decay frequency degrees of the parent and the child to the attitudes in preventing the child from decay is investigated; the factors in caries prevention are discussed.
