Abstract

ÖZET

1000 hastada retrospektif olarak yapılan bu çalışmada 3. büyük azıların gömüklük sıklığının ve çekim türlerinin cinsiyete, alt ve üst çeneye göre dağılımları istatiksel olarak araştırılmıştır. 3. büyük azıların yaklaşık 113'nün gömük olduğu ve ancak cerrahi çekimle çıkarılabildikleri, cerrahi çekimleri 10-29 yaş grubunda artış gösterdiği, yaş arttıkça cerrahı çekimlerin azaldığı gorülmüştür. Üst çenede gömük 3. büyük azı dişleri kadınlarda erkeklerden anlamlı bir şekilde farklı olduğu bulunmuştur. 3. büyük azıların ve onların cerrahi çekimlerinin hem kadınlarda hem de erkeklerde anlamlı bir şekilde artış gösterdiği saptanmıştır.

ABSTRACT

In this study which was made an 1000 patients retrospectively, attempts were made to investigate statistically the distribution frequency of the impactness of the third molars and their extraction types according to age, sex and their localizations as per the maxilla and the mandible.

It was concluded that approximately 1/3 of the molars were impacted and could only be extracted by surgery, that surgical extractions showed an increase at the age group of 10-29, and that surgical extractions decreased as the age advanced.
The maxillary impacted third molars were found to be statistically more different in females than in males. It was also detected that third molars and their surgical extration showed a significant increase both in females and in males.
