İLERİ DERECEDE REZORBE MAKSİLLALARIN ZİGOMATİK İMPLANTLARLA REHABİLİTASYONU

Abstract

İmplant uygulamaları 1960'lı yıllardan itibaren dişhekimliği pratiğine girmiştir. Zaman içerisinde hem implant
uygulamalarında hem de implant çeşitlerinde artış görülmektedir. Maksillanın posterior bölgesinde ileri derecede
rezorbsiyon bulunması gibi dental implant uygulamalarının tek başına yetersiz kalacağı vakalar için zigomatik
implantlar geliştirilmiştir. Amaç; dental implantların ve sinus lifting operasyonlarının endike olmadığı ileri
derecede atrofik maksillalarda yapılacak protezin retansiyonunu sağlayarak hastaların rehabilitasyonunu
arttırmaktır. Bu derlemede zigomatik implantların uygulanmaya başladığı ilk yıllardan günümüze kadar (1960¬
2007) yapılmış araştırmalar Pubmed veri tabanında 'zigomatik implant, atrofik maksilla, dental implant' anahtar
kelimeleri kullanılarak taranmıştır. Zigomatik implantların endikasyonları, özellikleri ve cerrahi prosedürü
hakkında bilgi vermek amaçlanmaktadır.
