Özet Bu çalışmada» I.U.
Anahtar sözcükler: ANIMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL INVESTIGATION OF EPIDERMAL GROWTH FACTOR RECEPTOR (EGFR) EXPRESSION IN ODONTOGENIC CYST EPITHELIUM AND EPIDERMOID CARCINOMA OF ORAL CAVITY Abstract In this research, the patients who were applied to dental Faculty of Istanbul University, Department of Oral Surgery were evaluated and 40 cases who were diagnosed as epidermoid carcinoma, keratocyst, follicular and radicular cysts following the clinical, radiological and paffiological examination were histochemically investigated according to the presence of Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR). The EGFR presence was observed in epidermoid carcinoma and keratocyst ( % 90), follicular ( % 60), radicular (% 50) cysts respectively. Based on the above results, we would like to emphasize that EGFR has a characteristic of epithelial malignancy. Key words: Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor, Odontogen Cyst, Epidermoid Carcinoma.
