REJENERATİF ENDODONTİ

Abstract

Rejeneratif tıp ve doku mühendisliğinin son yıllardaki hızlı gelişimi; tıbbın bütün dallarında olduğu
gibi, diş hekimliğinde de rejeneratif uygulamaların gündeme gelmesini sağlamıştır. Diş hekimliğinde
uygulanan ilk rejeneratif tedavinin 1952 yılında Hermann tarafından uygulanan vital amputasyon tedavisi
olduğu kabul edilmektedir. Bunu takiben, yönlendirilmiş doku ve kemik rejenerasyonları, distraksiyon
osteogenezi, kemik ogmentasyonu ve periodontal doku rejenerasyonu uygulamaları gibi çok çeşitli
rejeneratif tedaviler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Günümüzde doku mühendisliğinin geldiği noktada, ektopik
olarak diş dokusunun oluşturulabildiği bildirilmiştir. Bu derlemenin amacı, rejeneratif tedavilerdeki
temel kavramların tanımlanması ve diş hekimliğindeki, özellikle de endodontik tedavilerdeki rejeneratif
uygulamalar hakkında güncel literatür çalışma sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesidir.
