Abstract

Özet
Dr Hanson 1976-1981 yılları arasında yapmış olduğu çalışmalar sonucunda, ark telini ligature etme gereksinimi olmayan Speed Sistem adım verdiği, klasik Edge-Wise Sistemi'ne yeni bir görüş getirmiştir. Araştırıcı, speed sistem'le 600'den fazla ortodontik tedavi yaparak bu sistemi 1981 yılında ortodonti bilimine tanıtmıştır.
Bu yazıda; bu sistemin tedavi felsefesi, tedavi yaklaşımları, speed apareyînin braketleri, apareyin manüp-lasyonu, kontun landırılması, maksiller ve mandibüler molar tutucuları, braketlerİn vertikal konumları, ark tellerinin kullanımı, dişlerin distalizasyon ve retraksi-yonlan ve speed apareyiııin mekanikleri anlatılacaktır. Abstract
In this studies between 1976-1981, Dr. Hanson brought a new sight to classical Edge-Wise System, with a new approach that he named Speed System in which the ligaturation of the arch wire is not necessary.
He made more than 600 Orthodontic treatments with speed system and introduced this new system to orthodontic science in 1981.
In Otis article; the treatment philosophy and treatment approaches of this new system, the brackets of Speed appliance, manipulation and positioning of the appliance, maxiller and mandibuler molar attachments, vertical positions oj the brackets, using of the arch wires, disialization and retraction of the teeth and the mechanics of tlie Speed appliance are related.
