SUMMARY
In this article, the solution used for the root canal irirgation have been investigated. Most of the time, sodium hypochlorite (5 per cent) and hydrogen peroxide (3 per cent) are often used in endodontic treatment. Many investigators use together these solutions. Sodium hypochlorite (5 per cent) is an effective necrotic tissue solvent. Alternating solutions of hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite causes violent release of nascent oxygen and chlorine. The use of this combination is effective but the procedure is slow.
