Abstract
ÖZET
Temporomandibuler eklem sendromu ağrı, krakman, anormal hareket, kulak ve nazofarengeal belirtilerle kendini gösterir. Bu şikayetlerle 1974-1977 yılları arasında kliniğimize başvuran 70 hasta çalışma grubumuzu oluşturmuştur.
Sendrom en fazla kadınlarda ve 21-30 yaşlan arasında görülmüştür. Akut travmatik artritislerin daha çok etkili olduğu sendromda şikayetlerin genellikle tek taraflı oluştuğu gözlenmiştir. Bu hastalara çoğunlukla fizik tedavi uygulanmıştır.
SUMMARY
Temporomandibular joint syndrome starts with pain, clicking, abnormal mobility, ear and nasopharyngeal symptoms. This study has been completed on 70 patients who are admitted to the clinics of our faculty between 1974-1977.
Syndrome has been mostly seen on the female patients with age group rangeing between 21-30 ages. This syndrome is mostly effected by acut traumatic arthritis and patients are generally suffered from unilateral pain. Physical therapy has been applied in mast of the cases on patients with that disorder.
