Leukoplakia considered as the most common premalignant oral lesion of the oral cavity and defined as, “a white patch or plaque that cannot be characterized clinically as any other disease”. Precancerous lesions including oral leukoplakia have a benign biological, but the histopathological examination demonstrates atypical cells confined to the epidermis. These lesions have carcinogenic potential. Patients should be followed up in terms of malignancy risk. In this case transformation of leukoplakia into oral squamous cell carcinoma is reported.
