NİKEL-TİTANYUM DÖNER ALET SİSTEMLERİ İLE RETREATMENT

Abstract

Günümüzde nikel-titanyum döner alet sistemleri endodonti pratiğinde rutin olarak kullanılmaktadır.
Bu tekniklerin şekillendirmedeki başarıları birçok çalışma ile gösterilmiştir. Endodontik tedavinin en
zor işlemlerinden biri olan retreatment uygulamalarında öncelikle şekillendirme için üretilen nikeltitanyum
döner alet sistemleri kullanılmış, fakat yaşanan sorunlar firmaları retreatment işlemine özel
nikel-titanyum sistemler üretmeye yöneltmiştir. Bu makalede güncel nikel-titanyum retreatment döner
alet sistemlerinin teknik özellikleri, uygulama prosedürleri ve bu konuda yapılmış çalışmalar derlenmiştir.

Retreatment with Nickel-Titanium Rotary InstrumentS

Abstract

Nickel-titanium rotary instrument systems are used widely in endodontic practice. The clinical success of these systems have been shown in many studies. Retreatment is the one of the most challenging endodontic treatment procedures. Conventional nickel-titanium rotary instrument systems had been used for retreatment before, however problems associated with the clinical use of these systems have forced many companies to produce nickel-titanium systems specially for the retreatment. This article reviews the current nickel-titanium retreatment systems, the technical characteristics of these systems, clinical application protocol and the studies investigating these systems.
