Engineering Geological investigation of the Power Tunnel Alignment of The Görmel Dam (Ermenek, SE-Konya)

Abstract

The power tunnel which will convey the water from the Görmel dam to the proposed hydroelectric power plant on the left slope of the Erik river, was designed using data from studies of the geotechnical properties of the rock units along the tunnel alignment. Data were evaluated using the Geomechanic RMR system and the Q system. Support systems were recommended for the tunnel. The tunnel will be driven through flysch facies of the Eocene Görmel formation, and through the matrix (sandstone, greywacke, spilite, diabase, gabbro, basalt) and limestone blocks of the Upper Cretaceous Çamlıca formation. These limestone blocks are the members (Çetincekalesi, Tahtacı, Kükürce, Azıtepe limestone members) of the Çamlıca formation.

Görmel Barajı (Ermenek, GD-Konya) Kuvvet Tünel Güzergahının Mühendislik Jeolojisi İncelemesi

Abstract

Görmel barajından alınacak suyun Erik Deresi sol yamacında kurulacak santrala iletilmesi amacı ile açılacak tünel için en uygun güzergahın saptanmasına yönelik bu çalışma ile, tünel güzergahındaki kaya birimlerinin jeoteknik özellikleri saptanmıştır. Kaya sınıflamasındaki veriler, jeomekanik-RMR sistemi ve Q-sistemi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiş ve tünel güzergahında alınması gereken destekleme önlemleri saptanmıştır. Tünel güzergahı, Eosen yaşlı fliş fasiyesindeki Görmel formasyonu ile Üst Kretase yaşlı Çamlıca formasyonunun matriksi (Kumtaşı, grovak, spilit, diyabaz, gabro, bazalt) ve bu formasyonu ait kireçtaşı bloklarından (Çetincekalesi, Tahtacı, Kükürce, Azıtepe kireçtaşı üyelerinden) geçecektir.
