Zeminlerin şişme özellikleri

Abstract

Mühendislik yapılarında meydana gelen deformasyonların bir çoğu, zemin hareketlerinden kaynaklanmakladır. Özellikle de zeminlerin .şişme özelliklerinden kaynaklanan temel hareketleri üzerlerindeki yapının elemanlarını kırmakta, çatlatmakta ve birçok deformasyonlar oluşturmaktadır. Zeminler, farklı mineralojik, dokusal, kimyasal bileşim ve konsolidasyon özelliklerine bağlı olarak değişik şişme yüzdesi ve şişme basıncı değerlerine sahiptirler. Bu özelliklere bağlı olarak şişme basıncı değerleri birkaç kg/cm2 den birkaç ton/m2 ye kadar değişebilir. Eğer bu şişme basıncı, kil üzerine etkiyen inşaat yükünü aşarsa, zeminde oluşacak kabarma önemli temel sorunlarına neden olabilir, Bu nedenlerle, üzerine inşaat yapılacak zeminin şişme karakteristikleri, arazi ve laboratuvar deneyleri ile açıkça ortaya konulması ve uygun temel tasarımı yapılması, önlemlerin alınması son derece önemlidir.
