Jeolojik Olayların Yapay Açıklıklı Radar (SAR) Verileri Kullanılarak Çalışılması

Abstract

İklim olaylarının sayısal modelleri küresel değişimlerin tahminine yardımcı olur. Ancak, iklim değişmelerinin gerçek etkilerini değerlendirmeden önce bu değişimlerin bölgesel göstergelerinin anlaşılması çok önemlidir. Küresel iklim değişmelerinin artan bir oranda ilgi çekmesi aynı şekilde uzaktan algılamayada, yüzeydeki değişimlerin incelenmesi ve haritalama vasıtası olduğu için ilgiyi artırmıştır. Toprak erozyonu, taşınma, depolanma, bozuşma gibi jeolojik olaylar yalnızca işlenebilir toprakların azalmasına yol açmaz, aynı zamanda delta, haliç ve diğer kıyı bölgelerindeki depolanmayı da etkiler. Tektonizma ve volkanizma gibi diğer jeolojik olayların ise insan yaşamı üzerinde çok derin etkileri vardır. Bu ilave jeolojik olaylar yalnızca sismik olaylar gibi yıkıcı olmayıp, volkanların okyanus ve atmosfer kimyasına etkileri ile gaz ve partikül çıkışlarının statosfere etkileri şeklinde de küresel iklim değişmelerine yol açarlar. Yapay Açıklıklı Radar (SAJİ), yeryüzü haritalamasında ve yapısal yorumlamalarında önemli rol oynar, aynı düşük güneş-açılı hava fotoğraflarında kullanıldığı gibi değişik arazi tipleri için bakış geometrisi oluşturulabilir. Bunlara ilave olarak SAR verileri jeolojik çalışmalarda da önemlidir; yeryüzü engebesi, bitki örtüsünün varlığı, toprak nemliliği, topoğrafya ve topografik değişimler gibi çok önemli miktarda veri, işlenmiş veri gruplarından elde edilebilir.
