Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

The journal recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI)–assisted technologies may offer useful support in scholarly communication. At the same time, the Journal is committed to maintaining the principles of research integrity, transparency, originality, and accountability.

1. Permitted Use of AI Tools

Authors may use AI-based tools only for limited editorial assistance, including but not limited to:

  • improving language, grammar, and readability;
  • formatting references;
  • stylistic or clarity-related revisions.

The use of AI tools must not replace the author's own scholarly judgment or intellectual contributions.

2. Prohibited Use of AI Tools

AI tools must not be used for:

  • the conception or design of the study;
  • the generation of original research ideas or hypotheses;
  • data collection, analysis, or interpretation;
  • the creation of original results, proofs, or conclusions.

Any use of AI tools that affects the originality or scientific contribution of the work is considered unacceptable.

3. Disclosure Requirement

Authors are required to include an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Statement in their manuscript by selecting the appropriate statement provided in the journal's template. This statement must accurately reflect the extent of any AI tool usage.

Failure to provide a truthful and complete disclosure may result in rejection of the manuscript or retraction after publication.

4. Author Responsibility

Regardless of whether AI tools are used for permitted purposes, authors remain fully and solely responsible for:

  • the content of the manuscript;
  • the accuracy of data and references;
  • the integrity and originality of the work;
  • compliance with ethical and publication standards.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors and bear no responsibility for the published content.

5. Editorial and Peer Review Process

The journal does not permit the use of AI tools by editors or reviewers in any manner that compromises confidentiality, objectivity, or the integrity of the peer review process. Any AI-assisted activity in editorial workflows, if adopted in the future, will be transparently disclosed.

6. Policy Updates

Given the rapid development of AI technologies, this policy may be updated periodically. Authors are responsible for reviewing the most current version of this policy prior to submission.
